this is how lily channels her inner artist 

lily creates notes on post-its to remember her creative ideas

so we find a pen

Lily loves to "cuhh - ler," but we usually stick to crayons.  On this day, she not only found a pad of post-its in Jeff's bedside table, but the container of pens in the drawer of the desk (just behind her in the picture).  It all started well - lots of cute lines on tiny pieces of paper, but...

at this point lily shifts from writing on a post-it note to drawing on her knees, legs and arms.


Needless to say, the pens now have a new home...

While these pics are funny on their own, the story behind the them makes them better.  The three of us were playing in Lily's room and she climbed up on top of Jeff while they were "wrastling."  We laughed and said "stop, you can't hop on pop!"  Lily climbed down, saying "pop, pop, pop" over and over, and walked to her book shelf.  She searched through the Dr. Seuss book bin and found Hop on Pop.  Then, she went back over to Jeff and climbed back on "Pop" for a little light reading.  Silly girl...
