10 months

Wow…ten months!

Lily is doing so well and changing so fast I can barely keep up. She jabbers non-stop, but what she is saying other than “dadadadada” and “mamamama” – who knows.

Sleep is the same as last month, two naps, one in the morning about 9:30 and one if the afternoon about 1:00. Both are about an hour and a half. She goes to bed between 6:00 and 6:30, depending on bath and book time, and gets up about 6:00 in the morning.

Eating seems to go in spurts for Lily. She loves it some days and other times, not going to have it. A normal day – 8 ounces of formula the minute she wakes up, yep, that is right, formula. She is done nursing now completely. It was bitter sweet for me. It has given me some freedom, but it was sad to let it go. She was ready and made the transition almost on her own though, so I knew it was time. Breakfast about 8:00, oatmeal mixed with fruit. 6 ounce bottle of formula after morning nap. Lunch about 12:00, veggies (solid peas and carrots usually), fruit, yogurt (which you cannot even show her until she is done or she is unable to eat or do anything else except yell about the yogurt!) and a CUP with milk. Yep, that is correct, Lily has mastered her cup. Well, maybe not mastered, but she is pretty good at it. J Afternoon snack, milk, banana, cheerios. Dinner about 5:30, veggies, meat (pureed baby kind – weird stuff), fruit, milk, cheerios or puffs.

Lily is a crawling fool these days. Up and down our hall, in and out of rooms, following us and acting like the vacuum – you cannot imagine how much I sweep and vacuum these days to prevent her finding the smallest of fuzz and eating it. But crawling is not all; Lily is so close to walking. She has a push lion (which was Will’s) that she loves and walks around with it nonstop. While she does crash into a variety of things around the house with it, she is getting much better at pulling it out from walls, tables, etc to keep moving. I am pretty sure one of these days she will just let go and run after me.

Lily’s likes and dislikes as of ten months:

Lily loves: Mom, Dad, Grandmas and Grandpas, her aunts, uncles and cousins, Zeke the zebra, Sophie, her Sleep Sheep, bathtime, chewing on anything she can get her hands on, warm weather, swimming, fruit, sitting up, YELLING, her “sucker,” “puffs,” crawling, bubbles, Lion, YOGURT, her cup, leaves

Lily does not love: gas, being put in a car seat, trimming her fingernails, the cold wind, long plane flights, being left alone in the living room so mom/dad can walk to the kitchen, having her nose wiped
