three months

Three months...

This month has been a busy one for us. Carter, Lily and I joined my mom for a LONG road trip to Texas and Arkansas for a surprise visit my sister, Erin and her family, and then my grandma for Mother's Day. And while the trip took two days each way, Carter was a trooper. (Lily also did well - thank you Aunt Katie for lending us the DVD player - but still threw up 2 times and struggled with sitting in a car seat for so long). Carter is so big and seems to grow everyday (94 percentile for height - thanks Jeff)! Carter is still a very happy baby who dishes out smiles like it is his job - it is great! He sleeps from about 9:00 until about 7:00 with one feeding somewhere between 2 and 4. His naps are not usually longer than an hour yet, but he takes 3-4 each day. He is a good eater, but prefers nursing to a bottle unless the bottle is the "perfect" temperature. He loves his big sis and tolerates her "hugs" better than anyone could hope for. Carter loves the Jungle Night Club just like Lily did, as well as his swing. He doesn't love the wind, but does enjoy being outside and going for walks - even with his nutty sister in the stroller with him. :) He is getting close to sitting up by himself, but is still a little wobbly. He prefers playing on his back but doesn't hate tummy time. He still sleeps in his swaddle, but is quickly becoming a master Houdini when it comes to escaping.
