Sorry this post is so late!  Travels took over and we fell behind.  

Six months!  And so many changes...   We went to our six month check up and are happy to announce that Lily is growing and progressing as she should.  While still quite small, she has accomplished all the six month milestones they check for - we are so proud :)  She weighed in at 13 and a half pounds (that is just above the bottom line on the growth chart, yippee).  Due to her size, she can still rock her three month clothes for the most part, aside from the ones with feet because she is too tall, but has begun wearing some six month size clothes, mostly because I cannot wait - they are too cute - and also because her smaller clothes are winter clothes. 

Lily has started eating more and more.  She now eats people food at both lunch and dinner, but mostly dinner.  We have moved on to include a variety of fruits and veggies in addition to the delicious rice cereal with DQ milk.  

Sleeping...well after a few very trying nights, we are back to sleeping though the night.  We let her cry it out.  I think that Jeff was basically fine with it.  But let me tell you...it was the worst three nights of sleep I have had in a long time.  IT WAS AWFUL!  But, I am happy that Lily is doing well and getting the sleep she needs.  In addition, Lily has begun to nap much more consistently and for longer periods of time.  Yah!  Good job us!  The 90 minute cycle is the key for her.  After being awake 90 minutes, it is time for a nap, even if she cries a little first.  

Lily has learned to sit!  It has been wonderful because she can finally see more of what is going on and enjoys this a ton, however her tripod is still a little wobbly.  I guess more core workouts are to come...

Her likes and dislikes are still much the same this month:

Lily loves: Mom, Dad, Grandmas and Grandpas, Zeke - her super soft lovey blanket/animal, Sophie - an awesome toy that is perfect for chewing and holding, Jungle Night Club, her Sleep Sheep, bathtime, chewing on her hands and anything she can get her hands on, warm weather, swimming, rolling over, the stein, peaches, apples, sitting up

Lily does not love: gas, being put in a car seat, trimming her fingernails, the cold wind, tummy time, being stuck after rolling over, her swaddle, legs hanging out of her crib

and yes, i put product in her hair!
