8 month bath photos

Eight months old and I have had to deal with leaving Lily again to go back to work. It was hard...again.

Lily has begun going to daycare while I teach and she is loving it. She has a terrific time playing with the other kiddos (both of whom are 2) and enjoys the extra attention they give her, not to mention the attention of Colleen her sitter.

Lily still loves to yell, but conversation (especially at dinner) has progressed to more jabbering and less screaming. Her diet is almost exactly like last month. The few changes, she is weening herself from nursing and we have added yogurt, a new favorite food!

The only sleep change is that she is down to two naps per day. I think this just came about because of our new schedule and needing to leave for school about the time she would normally snooze for the first time, but she is doing very well with just two naps.

Here is the big one...CRAWLING! Yep, at 8 months, Lily has mastered how to crawl. Her first true crawling (there were quite a few attempts and almosts before) happened on our trip out west for the Hyer wedding. And, it happened in, of all places, a winery. We were thrilled and she is a crawling fool these days. Walking seems like it will come soon, she loves to pull up on us, stand at the front window, and stand and suck on the ottoman...we're so proud :)

Lily’s likes and dislikes as of eight months:

Lily loves: Mom, Dad, Grandmas and Grandpas, her aunts, uncles and cousins, Zeke the zebra, Sophie, her Sleep Sheep, bathtime, chewing on her hands and anything she can get her hands on, warm weather, swimming, fruit, sitting up, YELLING, her “sucker,” “puffs,” CRAWLING, bubbles?? (see below)

Lily does not love: gas, being put in a car seat, trimming her fingernails, the cold wind, long plane flights, being left alone in the living room so mom/dad can walk to the kitchen
