5 month bath photos

Five months...wow!  Lily is growing so fast, she seems to change daily.  Looking back at pictures from a few short months ago, we are not entirely sure she is even the same baby!  Lily has become quite a good little eater at five months, but is usually only interested in "people food" at dinner.  Currently, she eats a couple table spoons of fruit with rice cereal and "dairy queen milk."  Yum...

We think Lily is having a growth spurt, thus, her sleeping patterns have changed a little.  She rotates between sleeping though the night for a few nights, and then a few nights of waking for a short time to nurse, but going back to sleep easily. While I much prefer her to sleep through, she is still an excellent night time sleeper.  While napping is still not her strong suit, she has made huge strides over the last month.  She often takes a long morning nap now (1.5 to 2.5 hours) and two shorter afternoon ones.  We are all very happy she is making progress in this area.

At five months, Lily still loves many of the same things, but she has accomplished a few very important milestones and grown to love some new toys.  One of her most exciting accomplishments...ROLLING OVER!  While she can roll either direction, but her favorite is rolling to her right, from her back to her front.  At this point she then gets somewhat stuck on her tummy and "swims" and yells until someone comes to play with her or roll her back over to do it again.  We are very proud!

In addition, Lily has outgrown her swaddle, not because we made that decision, but because she has turned into Houdini and can completely escape, kick it off, and send it down to the end of the crib. Thus, we wrap her legs/torso to keep her warm and hope all goes well.  Because of these two changes, we have found Lily a number of times in very interesting positions in her crib these days...legs hanging out though the bars, stuck on her tummy, face on the crib bars with her arms dangling, completely turned around and sideways...we have yet to capture these moments, but we will! :)

As far as toys, Lily has grown into the "stein" and loves it.  She particularly loves the music that the animals plays. So far, I think Old McDonald is her favorite one.

Lily loves: Mom, Dad, Grandmas and Grandpas, Zeek - her super soft lovey blanket/animal, Sophie - an awesome toy that is perfect for chewing and holding, Jungle Night Club, her Sleep Sheep, bathtime, chewing on her hands, warm weather and swimming, rolling over, the stein, peaches, apples

Lily does not love: gas, being put in a car seat, trimming her fingernails, the cold wind, tummy time, being stuck after rolling over, her swaddle

did you know i have feet?
